Alexa, Call Mom!
IN COLLABORATION WITH THE SUNDANCE STORYTELLING LAB AND POV SPARK LABS
How do we navigate technology in our most intimate spaces? Alexa, Call Mom! is an intimate, single user experience, where the participant explores Alexa’s powers as a medium. Blending comedy and horror, real user data and Amazon ads, this is a dynamic multi-sensory experience about grief and humor.
Dynamic ambience and sound FX create the effect of ghostly dynamic movement. Wifi-enabled devices (controlled by Alexa) convey Mom’s emotions and movements as Mom and the participant try to connect between Alexa’s advertisements and Mom’s fragmented memories.
